Data Dignity is honoring that you own your data. And, when others wish to use your data, you are alerted and able to easily set permissions that are agreeable to you. There are over 350,000 clinical trials and many ongoing trials underway in the world… data trials, cancer trials, sickle cell trials, Covid, Long Covid…. and many more.
Yet, despite trials offering the benefits of medical care and in some cases many thousands of dollars, according to Research America, an alliance for research in health, only a tiny fraction of the population participate in research trials despite the vast majority of individuals that say they would participate under the right circumstances.
It turns out that many trials painstakingly wait for busy doctors to identify and help enroll patients. Amazingly, the average study site only enrolls 1 patient per year! Ultimately, many studies fail to enroll enough and/or representative participants. This means a lot of waste and our collective human understanding and cures are delayed.
