Consuli is reaching out to the Sickle Cell patient community to raise awareness about an opportunity for patients 18 years of age or older with Sickle Cell Disease to help ADVANCE RESEARCH from home.
The purpose of this study is to understand how Sickle Cell Disease makes individuals feel on a daily basis as participants will be asked to:
Complete an electronic study diary on a daily basis for 6 months – describing how you are feeling, including whether you are in pain, how tired you are feeling and if you are able to perform your usual physical activities.
Provide blood samples, different from regular medical examinations, once at the beginning of the study and once at the end of the study.
The goal is to enroll 200 Sickle Cell Disease patients for research to be conducted by Pfizer and Sanguine Biosciences.
Safety Protocol: With the concern regarding the spread of COVID-19, all mobile medical professionals will be provided personal protective equipment (PPE) including gowns, face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and alcohol wipes in order to protect our participants and staff against the spread of the virus.
You may qualify to participate if you:
• Are 18 years of age or over
• Live in the United States
• Have been diagnosed with Sickle Cell Disease
• Have experienced a pain crisis that required a visit to a hospital or clinic within the last year
